My answered prayer

"Mommy's Answered Prayers"

Those two pictures just about sum up my Mothers Day this year.

I thought I would share a few more songs from Luke’s playlist… We still play this multiple times a day and it still works like a charm 🙂

Arithmetic by Brooke Frasier

But of all the things I know for sure, you’re the only certain one. You are the one I want. You are the one I want.”

Home is me- You are mine by Everly

“Home is me. You are mine.”

Today by Joshua Radin

“This is the day I make you mine. You are the one I’ve been waiting for, today. ” You looked right through me, there was no one else. I sat beside you and became myself, today.”

Gotta Have You by The Weepies

“No amount of coffee, no amount of cryin’,  no amount of whiskey, no amount of wine. No, no, no,no,no, nothing else will do, I’ve gotta have you.”

Sweet sweet baby by Michelle Featherstone

” sweet sweet baby, I go crazy, crazy when I think of you. Sweet sweet baby, I go crazy, if I can’t cuddle up to you. So baby, oh baby, please don’t go. You’re the only one for me.”

And last but oh so not least…

Godspeed by Dixie Chicks

“God bless Mommy and matchbox cars. God bless Dad and thanks for the stars. God hears Amen, wherever we are, and I love you. Godspeed, little man. Sweet Dreams, little man. Oh my love will fly to you each night on Angels wings. Godspeed. Sweet Dreams.”

That last one has kind of turned into Luke’s lullaby. I have always loved it, but now that I have a son, it’s just so perfect and he’s so perfect.

There’s a lot more on the list, but I don’t need to give ’em all up right away 😉

I am going to be kicking off mothers day with my sleeping baby on my chest. Heaven. Last year was difficult to say the least. So, to all of you who are in pain today, I am so very sorry. We may not share the same loss, but I do understand how excruciating this day can be. I wish you peace and love.
